3 min read
Passing the Google Cloud Digital Leader certification is a great accomplishment for any individual who wants to demonstrate their expertise in cloud computing. I recently passed this exam, and in this blog post, I will share my journey, including how I prepared for the exam and the study materials I used. I will also discuss the exam scope and provide tips for others who plan to take the exam.
Preparing for the Exam
The first step in my preparation for the Google Cloud Digital Leader certification was to study the exam guide. This guide outlines the topics that the exam covers, which include:
Understanding cloud computing concepts and terminology
Knowing the benefits and drawbacks of cloud computing
Understanding the different cloud deployment models and service models
Knowing the different Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and their use cases
Understanding GCP pricing and billing
After reviewing the exam guide, I created a study plan to cover all of the topics. I set aside time each day to study and focused on one topic at a time. I also used practice exams to identify areas where I needed improvement.
To prepare for the Google Cloud Digital Leader certification, I used a combination of study materials. These included:
Google Cloud documentation: Google provides extensive documentation on its services and features, including detailed guides, tutorials, and case studies. I used this documentation to gain a deeper understanding of the different GCP services and their use cases.
Online courses: I also used online courses such as Coursera, Udemy, and Google Cloud training to gain a better understanding of cloud computing concepts and terminology.
Practice exams: To assess my knowledge and identify areas where I needed improvement, I used practice exams from sites like Whizlabs, Google Cloud Certification Practice Exams, and other online platforms.
The Google Cloud Digital Leader certification exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and lasts for 90 minutes. The exam covers the basics of cloud computing and the benefits and drawbacks of cloud computing. It also covers the different cloud deployment models and service models and their use cases, as well as the different GCP services and their pricing.
